We have a tradition here in Florida that occurs at irregular intervals. It`s called Evacuate For The (Holiday) Weekend.
Instead of Backyard Bar-B-Q`s we load up three day`s supplies of food and water, our human and animal children, our important papers, pillows and blankets and then we set forth on the highway hoping we can find a place for the night. This is also a time for families to get together where the one that lives farthest from projected landfall lives.
Seriously, folks, heed the need to evacuate and get out of there. The most precious thing you own is your life and the lives of your family, human and otherwise.
Ho Boon Cheong Likes this and says: We need the storm, the whirlwind, and the earthquake. After every storm the sun will smile: for every problem there is a solution, and the soul`s indefeasible duty is to be of good cheer. If patience is worth anything, it must endure to the end of time.
I live in an area subject to large thunderstorms that often produce high winds, frequent lightning, and sometimes weather as severe as any tropical storm.
